Who We Are

History

Stadia: New Church Strategies was established in 1954, as the Northern California Evangelistic Association (NCEA). Over a period of nearly five decades the NCEA grew from planting one church every four or five years to planting an average of one church every 30 days by the year 2000.

In 2001 the NCEA Board of Directors determined to introduce their model of church planting across the United States. NCEA joined forces with Church Development Fund (CDF), and in 2003 Stadia: New Church Strategies was born. Today CDF and Stadia (along with Visioneering Studios) are sister ministries under the umbrella of the Provision Ministry Group.

Over 100 churches have been planted in partnership with Stadia, more than 80 of those since 1996. Most recently, Stadia adapted a new “network” model of church planting, where products and services are provided to new churches by proven church planting service providers.

Under the Stadia network model, Stadia’s Mobilization team champions collaborative church planting networks throughout the United States, including partnerships with existing church planting associations and church planting churches.

Stadia is also a partner in the Exponential Network. Stadia is a funding partner and provides leadership, along with others, in the Exponential Network.
